Wednesday, July 25, 2012 I had a bit of a life change last week and left my “day job” of 12? years. The boys and I decided to head out to visit family in CA and have a little vacation before school starts in a week and a half! Crazy I know. Thought I’d share some photos of our first night. The boys requested a trip to Balboa Island. They love taking the ferry, looking at all the houses, and of course the Balboa bars (or a banana this time).

Friday, June 15, 2012 I don’t really know how to blog a 10 day trip to Kauai. I guess I’ll just start with photos! We were there with a total of 15 family members and we all stayed in a house on Anini Beach together. Staying in a beach house gives a completely different feel to vacation than a hotel. There’s the obvious (a full size kitchen, more space etc) but being able to hear the ocean and walk out onto the sand still in pajamas holding your first morning cup of coffee is truly amazing. The boys took a walk every morning in search of geckos or crabs, to see where the tide was at for the morning, and who was out fishing already.
We’ve stayed in 3 different houses now and this one had the best/easiest access to the beach.
We go through vrbo.com for the house rental and have loved staying on the North Shore at Anini Beach (first 6 photos) because the water is so calm and perfect for the kids.

Tuesday, June 5, 2012 We are still in Hawaii soaking up the sun and our family. Loving every minute (except for the small jellyfish sting my youngest got). I’m not editing pictures on my laptop because ever since I installed Snow Leopard on my Macbook Pro my color profiles have been screwed. So if you know anything about how to fix that let me know!
Anyway I thought I’d pop in with a few instagrams for now
