I was inspired by an invitation I saw here , but I really wanted to create something myself.  Here’s what I came up with!  The images used are mine :)  The tri-folds were purchased at Michaels.

PLEASE READ: If you do not have Photoshop you will not be able to edit the text in the .psd file, you will have to type in the info in another program (using the .jpg files) or print the blank invite and write it in by hand. There is a free program called gimp (do a google search) that will allow you to edit .psd files. Also remember that this is a zipped file so you will need to unzip it to use the files inside. How to unzip on a pc how to unzip on a mac

I just love these invites and I know my son think he had the coolest invites if he had these. Would love the download when it is available.

EXCELLENT TIMING!! I just googled "Lego party blog" to find ideas for my son's upcoming 6th birthday party and the internet brought me to you. (I have found if you add the word "blog" onto any google search you find the best results from real people!!) Already personalized the invites and will print out later this week. Hope you are posting part 2 (and 3 and 4?) soon for more spectacular ideas. Thanks for sharing! I promise to share pics from my party too - thanks again for the inspiration.

I love these invitations, they are so so cute! :)

Love the Invitations! I can't wait to use them. My boys will be excited. I had a question about the paper. When I look online to buy the tri-fold paper all I see is the tri-fold brochure paper 8 1/2" x 11". Is that correct? The tri-fold brochure paper on-line looks long and skinny. It doesn't look like your invitations. Thanks a bunch! Happy New Years!!!

Here's a link to the paper I used Here is a link to the product I used http://oldwww.gartnerstudios.com/mix_mingle_main.cfm?id=822343d0-db27-41b5-bc37-9e25beef1c0c&product_id=6875438e-9af8-4406-9c24-7855fe24b6ef&cat_name=M%2BM%204%20Bar&sku=83032

I'm sure you could use another trifold as long as you resized the elements - the biggest thing is just making sure the guys are lined up right.

Allison, I aboslutely love your Lego Invitation. What's more important is my soon to be 6 year old loves it even more. I would like to change the figures on the invitation to fit his favourites, but can't figure out how. Are you able to help?

Thanks for sharing this.

Amanda I'd email you but you didn't leave an address! If you are using the .psd file just hide or delete the layers with the current guys on there and insert the images you've taken of the guys he wants. You'll have to take pictures of the Lego men all at the same angle and try to get them the same size as the ones I currently have so that they cut properly. I took the photos of mine in front of a white paper and then cut them out in Photoshop. If you're not using the .psd file you'll have to somehow erase the current guys and insert your own images in whatever program you're using.

I was wondering if you could email this to me as I can't seem to hide or erase the grey text for instruction purposes. It will not allow me to do anything for some reason. This is the best invite we have found for our son's birthday. Well done!
